But it's still worth it for its multiplayer, where the real fun's at. |

I just finished turning "Uncharted" into "Charted"
![]() Unreal Tournament III is going to be a game that will continue to kick ass (multiplayer) for many years to come. Assassin's Creed has been confirmed for me as a Christmas gift... so that's my next big adventure. In the meantime. I'll take another run through "Uncharted" to see if I can find the 21 treasure pieces that I missed the first time through. AMAZING GAME by the way. The only downside is that it is a very linear game. Otherwise, some of the best writing/visuals/gameplay I have EVER seen!!! |

Is Assassin's Creed all that? I've read a lot of different articles on it, with some going 5 stars...others giving a low 4.0 of 10.0 saying it is boring and repetitive.
As for me, COD 4 is the top game right now. I was disappointed in UT3 when you compare the two games. Yeah, it looks good, but there is nothing to it. |

Out of curiosity, I wonder if anybody can make a list of straight run-through of how long a game's campaign is. It seems to me COD4 compared to R6V and GRAW2 is long.

Depends on who you ask. Yes, the tasks get boring and repetitive, but there are some side quests to do (killing Templars and finding flags). It isn't much, but it breaks the monotony a little bit. Combat is a bit on the easy side. But actually performing the assassinations is really fun (even though gathering intelligence for them gets annoying). Story is good, and I'll definitely be getting the sequel - especially if they add more variety to the gameplay. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

![]() playing this too now and it does have a few glitches and can get repetitive... but the fact that its such a revolutionary game kinda defines why we got a next gen system |

If you're interested in Assassin's Creed....Just keep this in mind...my opinion based on some mistakes I made while playing.. --Don't go nuts trying to get every flippin' flag in the game...you'll go nuts and wear yourself out...I probably could have beaten the game by now if I wasn't floating around the rooftops and alleys looking for flags...You get nothing for collecting the flags except the satisfaction to say that you have....and those that do online I Suspect most are lying... ---Save Citizens as needed.....You dont HAVE to...but like the flags you get nothing for it except running or hacking into some guards... ---Not all lookout points need to be scaled....especially in the kingdom villages where they do NOTHING for you... ---Not all Objectives need to be completed....(Side missions...etc) You just need 3 to access "Assassin's Memory". If you want to spend countless hours on the game then go for everything...Unfortunately, I focused on Scaling every Tower....Saving every citizen....doing every informant side mission....and attempting to find every flag all over the city... You can EASILY put 20-40 hours into the game with no problem if you're trying to be a completist....If I knew then what I knew now....Half the Citizens would still be suffering, the informants could still be looking for help...and people's pockets would be fuller, because now, I just want to get through it...It's really not even fun anymore (like watching the same movie over and over again). I'm trying something new now....I'm actually in the middle of playing about 6-7 games at the same time hoping the tradeoff will keep me from getting burned out on long and repetitive games.....unfortunately Oblivion is one of those games and that never has an end in sight.... As far as Technical ISsues...another patch was released not long ago...which fixed the freezing issue....people complain about the framerate...but while it's noticeable it doesn't interrupt the game. People make issues out to be far worse than they really are...especially when people are camping with 1 particular unit over another. Last edited by theEpiphany; 12-17-2007 at 09:47 PM. |

I beat the game and I do not plan on collecting the flags. In GTA games I would find all the special hidden packages and there for. It gave you percentage on getting them beat at a 100% though. So I wont collect the flags in Assassins creed because I would be wasting my time.

I think I am in the same boat as you. I have to force myself to play this game. Everytime I think about playing this game, I tell myself "I can be playing uncharted instead" and that's what I always end up doing. I think this game is going to sit on my shelf and collect dust for a long time. |
