I've been trying to get this player to work with my Panasonic E50, but I have been unsuccessful so far. The TV just displays a black screen for a few seconds and then says "no input." I've tried using different HDMI cables, different ports, and different picture settings on the player. I cannot get it work and I have no idea what the issue might be. Any ideas before I send it back?

Panasonic TVs in the US typically don't accept a 50hz signal - they have this locked out. TVs from Samsung and LG generally work with whatever you throw at them.
I had the same problem when I brought my UK BD player to the US. At first I thought that only the player menu screens would be inaccessible, and that if I played a non-50hz BD I'd get an image. But unfortunately not - the player usually waits for the HDMI handshake to complete before doing anything, and of course, the handshaking never completes. |

Is there anyway to convert the signal or anything? |
