Hopefully, BluFans will show their OAB release so I can choose which one to buy.

Looks nice and great price, but I'd also like to see what Blufans is offering first.

My Best Buy steelbook is pre-ordered, and I have my eye on both this and whatever the Blufans one may be.

Nice! Double Triple dip! I notice that Kimchi are releasing many steelbooks, and it's only January 2016!

Here's a better image of the Kimchi SPECTRE Steelbook Exclusive:

One question I have though. What does 'lenticular slipcase' mean actually?? I googled it, and I think they mean that it has this kind of 3D lensing effect on the front and backside no? Am I right?

DUDE, it's a full slip. It doesn't say lenticular on there anywhere.

He's asking a general question afaik, he doesn't mean this release has a lenti slip.

But you're right Jensen, most of the time it's on the front but a few releases have them on the backside aswell.

Lenticulars are actually very popular. Blufans, Nova Media, and Kimchidvd use them all the time. There's two styles; transition and depth.

A depth one gives a deep, 3d look and a transition one has an image that changes.

This is a video of a transition lenticular:

It would have made sense to ask that question on the Spectre OAB discussion page, but with some people logic does not apply.

Thus is life; no worries.

I'm not a big fan of all these 3D thingies.

Could you confirm that...the Kimchie slipcase from "SPECTRE" wil probably look like these ones?

They have these beautiful debossed title fonts and lovely, fabric-like, texture. Stylish, yet simple, and not 'Marvel-esqye screamy 3D stuff' ?

One question: Can I pre-order from the website http://kimchidvd.com/en/ this Thursday? Or do we need to pre-order here?

I tried to find some quality differences between KimchiDVD and BluFans. And I have to say.....most of the time the non-lenticular, full-slip slipcases from KimchiDVD and Blufans are really quite breathtaking. They usually have embossed/debossed or partially glossy / partially matted cardboard slipcases. Especially for indie/independent films. But also for some blockbuster films.

I'm usually not a big fan of the lenticular ones. They seem to look a bit...cheap to me.

This is how you offer something very special, something absolutely breathtaking for collector's. These video's IMO contain all the do's for a perfect limited edition steelbook release:

"Her":

"Rush":

"Terminator 2":

"Kung Fu Panda 2":

Blufans steelbooks are very good but slip wise they come at the last among all retailers along with HDZeta. Fulk slips from Korea and FAC are top notch.
