Default Coming soon, my first BD viewing experience

Hopefully in another hour or so I'll be watching my first BD on my new PS3 40GB. I know, I should be setting it up instead of posting here. I'll post my first impressions after watching a movie.

Let me guess, you'll be watching Spiderman 3, correct? You'll be getting your money's worth. What type of HDTV do you have? Right now, I'm watching Die Hard on blu; its pretty tight despite the cheesy movie lines

Actually, I'll probably watch 300 first. I started buying BDs a couple of weeks ago. Just waiting on the update to complete.

Be aware, 300 is a little grainy for your first impression.

looks great, just a little grainy compared to others.

Well, I love the picture, even on my 30" TV but I'm a little disappointed in the fan noise from the PS3. Right now it is out in the open to help keep it cool. I wonder if I put it in one of my entertainment center enclosed shelves with the back cut out if it would get too warm. Guess I'll just have to try it and see.

Oh, ended up watching Black Hawk Down and March of the Penguins. Maybe watch Blood Diamond tonight.

While the fan can be noisy, I forget about it constantly.

I can rarely hear the fan in my PS3; anyways, buy the Die Hard Collection, its worth it.

Same issue with my PS3. I put it vertical behind the 50" set and just in front of a window with a floor-length curtain and it significantly reduced the noise. The fan still spins like crazy but I rarely notice it anymore. Of course all of those new speakers I installed might have something to do with that as well.
