Shin Sekai Yori (aka From the New World) is a 2012 anime series by A-1 Pictures. Based on the award-winning 2008 novel "Shin Sekai Yori" by Yusuke Kishi, the story is centered around Saki Watanabe and her group of friends who live in a future where humans have developed psychokinetic powers. This power however, comes at a cost that soon enough Saki and her friends discover.

Like most anime that are adapted from works of fiction outside of the genre, Shin Sekai Yori is very atypical in a good way. The pace is rather slow and plenty of time is spent on world and character building. I recently finished it and wanted to create this thread to check if people were even aware a Complete Collection was coming out. I think I might grab it down the line once a good sale comes along.

Did not know a complete collection came out. Might get it in December if Rightstuf has it on sale during their annual sale.

That's a great deal - that's even better than the price during the holiday sale (which is when I picked them up). I've only found the time to watch the first few episodes but it has an intriguing story.

I'm pretty sure it's just a repackaging. I purchased the complete collection yesterday from a seller for $45 and should have it next week but I don't have the volumes to compare it to.

Yeah I just received Collections 1 & 2 last month from the RS sale. It's crazy how fast things change. Hopefully those are still worth the $25 each I paid.

Collection 2 is showing as OOP on Rightstuf's website. I take that Sentai will now only print the more expensive Complete Collection only?
