It seems every fan of the series has their favorites.

Here are 7 that always stand out to me whenever I watch the films...

1. Jeff and Sandra speared through the mattress in Part 2 while making love. If you have to be done away with, might as well be...

2. Vera is shot through the eye with a spear-gun in Part III. This might be the most infamous kill in the series as it introduced us to Jason wearing a hockey mask.

3. Jason zipping up a girl in her sleeping bag and bouncing her off a tree in Part VII. Ouch!

4. Not to be outdone in Part VII, Jason goes after a guy with a weed whacker. Comedy at its finest...

5. Tina, fresh off yet another round of thirsty love-making with her boyfriend, gets her eyes gouged out by a pair of branch cutters in Part V.

6. The promiscuous Samantha heads out to the lake, lying flat on a rubber raft, only to be jolted by Jason who proceeds to ram a large knife up through her body and out her back in Part IV.

7. Jason pushes a girl's head through the wall of an RV van, making an impression of her face on the other side in Part VI. Wow, what strength that must take...

Feel free to vote for one of the above in the presented poll. I'm curious which one out of my "hall of fame" is most loved by others.

And also don't hesitate to list your hall of fame killings for this series. There are certainly enough inventive ones to go around...

Great list!

Another of my favorites is from the 2009 reboot when he zips a girl up in her sleeping bag and holds her over the camp fire.

Yeah, being more a fan of the "originals", I tend to cut off my love for the series with Part VIII. Still, there are some scenes in the remake that are definitely memorable, as you pointed out. And there are some wonderful nude scenes too! Bravo!

Jason X is one of the worst entries in the series, but the liquid nitrogen kill scene completely redeems that movie.

My absolute favorite, though, is the Kevin Bacon-meets-arrow scene from Friday the 13th (1980).

The spear-through-couple scene in Friday the 13th: Part 2 is all sorts of awesome. (I voted for this one in the poll.)

The death of the wheelchair guy in Friday the 13th: Part 2 is great as well.

Crispin Glover's corkscrew death scene from The Final Chapter is excellent.

The "machete slide" during Jason's death in The Final Chapter is another one.

The electric guitar kill in Jason Takes Manhattan rocks (pun intended).

Ahh yes. It's hard to forget that one. I always go back and forth over whether his death is the more memorable one or if it's Marcie's. I suppose Bacon's is the one most remembered but Marcie's has that slow build-up and is very atmospheric with the shot of the light fixture dangling after the ax is swung.

I believe both were very slightly extended, in terms of gore, in the uncut version.

I think the spear through the bed might be my all-time favorite too (of the 7 that made my hall of fame). It's hard to pick just one but something about the killing of "two at once" and, of course, while making love (which is a trademark of the series) just makes that one very...definitive. And then the way the camera shows the bottom of the mattress bouncing and the bloody spear hitting the wood floor...definitely a highlight of the entire series!

Yes, the later entries really have some great "comedy killings". That reminds me of the guy on the motorcycle in Part V - his head is taken off too. Crazy stuff!

I also should add that honorable mention must go to Rick in Part III - the mashing of his head with those ultra-springy eyeballs popping out. You gotta love 3-D...

My favorite kill of the series comes from my favorite entry, A New Beginning - the head crush via leather strap around a tree.

It is amazing how my favorite kill is from the worst movie. Anyway the sleeping bag kill is fantastic.

Where's the nitrogen head smashing death from Jason X on the list? That one is brutal af.

I ended up voting for the sleeping bag against the tree from The New Blood.

Not one of the best films in the series but that kill is crazy man.

The Sleeping Bag kill is by far the best kill of the series!! My personal 2nd favorite kill which I dont think was mentioned was in part 6 where Jason bent the sheriff over backwards lol. Classic! Got Em!!
