I used to love this movie back in the day. So funny.

With all these 80's movies coming out, I hope we get The Pirate Movie.

Zapped is a bit of an odd film really. It's often seen as one of the first of those T+A comedies, but the reputation it has for being a raunchy film is off the mark. It came out shortly after Porky's, just before the influence of that film really became noticeable, so it seems rather tame by comparison.

In short, Zapped is essentially an after school special with tits. It has a cool nostalgic vibe to it though--the corny but catchy songs help--and it's a little sugary sweet as well.

I can see why it has its fans, but without features this is a no no for me.

I have my original DVD. I would not mind the blu ray, but if there are no special features and if the transfer is not that great, then I will probably not get it. If someone can report back after they gets their copy, I would appreciate it.

I'm in the same boat. Have the original DVD and want to hear how much of a picture upgrade it is. Seems doubtful we'll get any special features.

I used to watch this as a kid - yes, they used to air the raunchy flicks on my local stations here in L.A. It was right around the time of Charles in Charge with the Powell family - not with that first tame family.

I also remember there was a lame sequel called Zapped...Again or some thing similar. Never seen that one since none of the original cast was in it - I don't think.
