Default WEEKEND UPDATE: Dennis Miller advertising blu

Remember Dennis Miller on SNL Weekend update. (Still on of my favorites to do so). He has a daily radio show and while on the road he was promoting SonyBravia and Sony blu-ray players. I was pretty excited.

To each his own. (I personally love Dennis Miller.)

Good publicity is good publicity.

Dennis Miller! Where? That's one funny smart dude.

He had his own show too at some point I think on MSNBC, I used to watch that and of course the old SNL.

Any idea where I can catch any of his TV/Radio shows?

He's a love or hate type of actor that's for sure, but I agree with most of what he says and he's probably one of the funniest people.

the question is... was it paid advertising? coz if he advertised it on his own because he thinks it's the best (like Bay and Spielberg), then that would be awesome!!!

Mr. Miller is a POS.
The thought of him promoting BD disgusts me....
Please BDA!
Don't let this a$$hole anywhere near our beloved format.

I'd beg to differ. Being overly verbose and making oblique references might fool some, but "smart" I don't buy for a second. I agree with the crowd of people wincing at the mention of him and blu-ray in the same sentence.

I know this is going to get removed but..

I am sure some here would be more happy if a raging lib was pushing BD. I for one like this choice.

Spielberg and Bay's BD support is good but now that Miller is on board, that should pretty well take care of HD DVD once an for all.

Lisa Simpson: Ha, only one person in a million would find that funny!
Professor Frink: Yes, we call that the "Dennis Miller Ratio."

Personally, I LOVE Dennis Miller. I would watch his HBO show every single week. I even watched his MSNBC news program during its short stint. He's a brilliant guy with brilliant writers.

I don't know, I kind of like him, he's a pretty funny guy! Certainly can't hurt having another well known figure in your corner.

Now if we can just get Oprah...
