Default 1080p video file problems

this might be mention before but.....

i have a ps3 60gb and just installed 2.1fw.

ive heard the ps3 has problems playing 1080p video files.

i have a vob. file 1080p file and well when i try to play it i just get sound and a black screen. (20mps average frame rate)
but i also have the same file as mpeg2 a file in 1080p but the quality isnt as good as the vob. (6mps average frame rate)

its it just that the ps3 has problems playing some 1080p ????

The PS3 plays back 1080p content perfectly if it's in the correct format.

That would be:

H.264/MPEG-4 AVC.

Types of files that can be played (hasn't been updated for SS 2.10 as of posting this)

anyone else have the black screen problem with tversity and how did they manage to fix this????
