Final Cut. Might as well watch the newest and greatest one.

I guess I would start with the Original version first. It has Ford doing a voice over to help you follow the story. Then I would go in the order they were made to see how it has changed until you get to the Final Cut. It would be a great way to see how the movie has evolved over each of it's incarnations. Also, by the time you see the Final Cut, you will see how well it has been remastered and re-edited, and I think it will make it that much more enjoyable. JMHO

I’ve seen the movie multiple times but I’ve only seen the narration version once… and that was the very first time I ever saw the film. I barley remember it that way but it must have impressed me to view it again and again and again and again and again.

Wasn't Blade Runner the first movie to get a Director's Cut?

Agreed 100%

Watch the best way the first way, then look at the others.

Default Blade Runner: Which version is the best?

I asked this in a Blade Runner thread, but I want more answers. Which version is the best? I want to know which one I should watch right now...I'm going to find a place for it in the shelf and then I want to watch it...help me please.

I know a lot of you haven't watched more than one version in BD, but for those that watched the new final cut is it better than the original cut?

How was 16 Blocks? Sorry I don't have your answer for Blade Runner. I won't be purchasing new Blu movies for a couple weeks no since I had unexpected $400 maintenance cost for my car. I could have sworn it was a ceased callipar!!!

The last director's cut that they put out on DVD was better than the original release so its safe to say that the final cut is as well. Haven't seen the new version yet. I remember watching Blade Runner in the theaters when it was first released and wondering why they had that awful narration in it. It wasn't until much later that I found out that it wasn't Ridley Scott's idea. I also like the idea of Dekker not being who he seems. (don't want to spoil it)

I enjoyed 16 blocks as a movie, but I haven't had a chance to see my Blu copy yet. Don't you hate unexpected car costs...or unexpected costs in general.

I might as well watch the new final cut huh because that's the newest one. I haven't seen this movie in years...in fact it was released only 2 years after I was born so I've only seen it a few times and I'm not all too familiar with all of the versions. It seems Scott's movies just aren't given the chance to be what he wants them to be.

I started with the final cut but since I haven't seen the other versions in quite a while, I'll have to watch those again to know which one I think is best.

I was wondering the same thing since I just ordered mine from buy.com ($27 shipped!!) I've never seen the movie and was thinking about watching the final cut once it arrives. Anyone who's seen the movie feel free to offer an opinion.

Final Cut, it's the only version you should ever watch, as it's what Ridley Scott wants you to see

My plan is to watch them in the order they were edited so I will be familiar enough with the movie that by the time I get to the Final Cut I will appreciate all the work that went into it.

With my current setup I can't take advantage of true hd, ps3 and 2yr old harmon kardon receiver, so in terms of the movie itself which is the best version to watch for someone who hasn't seen it ever?

The Final Cut is the newest cut with Ridley Scott (Director) having full control, with some continuity fixes. Normal ending

International is the one from the Movie Theature with the voice overs. Also there is the "Happy" ending.

Director's Cut has no voice overs and Ridley Scott had nothing to do with it. Normal Ending.

I DID enjoy the final Cut very much. One thing you might want to try is watching the very first release... first. It has narration and I personnaly liked that part of it very much. Enjoy the Show!
