Looks like the Italian blu is actual HD and the Austrain/German one is an upscale. Unfortunately, it also looks like the Italian does not have english subs or dub.

I have the Australian release, and it's as bad as it looks. I'm thinking the German release probably won't have English subs, so unless a UK release pops up soon, I'm expecting to add my own (maybe the Australian release will be good for something after all!)

I cancelled my pre-order until we find out. I can always add my own subs if it comes down to that, but I'm also hoping for a UK release. It seems like a no-brainer. In any case, I want to see the specs on this release before making any decisions.

Yup delayed again lol but in better news a24 and arrow films UK will be releasing Gaspar’s new film CLIMAX. They both got the rights. CONFIRMED

thank the gods for arrow. it’s no artificial eye but it’s up there. hopefully they’ll get the rights to i stand alone (and even carne) and irreversible too unless studio canal decides to release it on blu in the uk. but i just don’t think i can wait much longer for climax. i feel like it’s going to be the climax of 2018 (ha ha)

Skimmed through the Italian blu. will watch it in full later but I do feel like it could have been brighter. I like the orange and reds in the Australian version and in this one they’re a little dim. Gaspar Noe loves bright orange and red so I’m not sure if this is how it’s supposed to look

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered it too. It'll probably get announced in the UK or US next week, but just in case it never does, I'll at least have gotten the Italian for a good price. I'll report back on what I think of the colors after it gets here.
