Talking Superman Returns on Dolby TRUE HD & Dr Strange 7.1 HD MASTER really 5.1, IRONMAN,AVEN

Hey all, i brought this up on the wrong thread b4 so i will bring up both subjects here.

Superman Returns, which originally released with dolbly digital, was supposed to be re-released with a new ps3 and it was supposed to have Dolbly TRUE HD. What ever happened to it? I want to by that with the Dolby TRUE HD and take full advantage of the blu ray specs.

We all know that Superman 2, the Donner Cut crap is like another movie but does anyone know if the original one we all grew up with is coming out along with Superman 3 & 4 and maybe even a BOXSET/Complete collection like the Spiderman or Harry Potter collections?

Also, I had stated that Dr. STRANGE blu ray states it has the audio for 7.1 HD Master Audio. Well my ps3 does have every option chosen for the audio source and it's under linear pcm and my 905 is showing multichannel and under that, it shows the source on the ps3 display to be DTS 5.1. Even if it were to down convert the signal, i have a 7.1 surround and all the 7.1 surround option/sources are chosen on my ps3. I am thinking this dvd really doesn't have 7.1 HD Master audio.

Finally, Dr. STrange & Avengers 1 & 2 were released on BLURAY. Anything on Ironman on BLURAY?

Do u guys think that a remake of Death of Superman would be made PROPERLY where the comics tell the tale and it shows the 4 actual supermen? I bought that dvd and when i saw that it didn't have any of the 4 supermen story, i was so PISSED since i waited on a lONG line several stores later. Talk to me fellow Blu rayer's

You're PS3 can't DECODE DTS HD MA, it only decode the DTS 5.1 1.5mbits inside it (placed there for compatibility). There's only 3 players that send the Bitstream DTS HD MA signal to a HDMI 1.3 amp, Samsung BD-1400, Panasonic BD-30K, and Pioneer Elite..

That is because you only only gettting core on your system for the DTS track which is 5.1. You would then need to add processing to it in order to get it to be 7.1 it will not be 7.1 native on core since that is not part of the spec.

"Superman Returns" was released with PCM inside a Panasonic Blu-ray player for a while... eventually, once Warner sells out of their current stock, this disc will be used to replace what you see on the store shelves.

"Superman II" (Theatrical) is coming to Blu-ray this year... or at least it is supposed to...

There was a TrueHD version made to go in the Pioneer 94 players. And from what I have heard it is a hard version to get.

WOW so if it came out on the Pioneer 94, then that means U must have it right since u have a Pioneer 94 players, as per ur signature specs. Is that an actual Blu ray disk that was a Pack in or was it actually built IN SIDE the Pioneer as a default movie?

U think we are going to see a Superman all in once collectors boxset? With the Superman 2 original ofcourse, not the Donner cut.

So this Superman 2 Theatrical is what the Original Superman 2 we grew up with is called? I don't see it on the blu ray release list for 2008 in this website at all, nor do i see SUperman's 3 & 4 or a boxset. That would be cool.

Ironman has been on DVD for a WHILE....it's weird how it would be released for dvd but the same company didn't release it on blu ray yet they released a collectors set of Avengers 1 & 2 And Dr. Strange when that movie was in bet. those to others.

The REAL death and return of superman, with the 4 supermen. About 2 years ago there was a nonstop rumor about how they were making this animation, then this year they release that other death of superman dvd withOUT the real comic book justice league as the story portrays, no other supermen at all either. That would have been AWESOME to see Eradicator eradicate people and superboy getting pounded by him. What's ur take?

I don't know what they're going to call it, but yes, "Superman II" is indeed the theatrical version (the one that was shown in the theaters).

Warner Bros. recently let slip some titles they were planning for 2008, "Superman II" was mentioned, but since it hasn't been announced yet, it's not "officially" listed.

No mention of "Richard Pryor III" or "Superman IV"...

The rumor has it, the recent "Superman: Doomsday" DVD will be released on Blu-ray on February 26th (along with "Justice League: The New Frontier"), but it hasn't been announced yet, so I guess we'll see...

The only "Death Of Superman" I've heard about was the Kevin Smith film "Superman Lives" and the "Superman: Doomsday" film referenced above...

Does anybody actually want to watch the Richard Lester version of Superman 2? What a horrible film. I could watch it as a kid, but now I refuse to. The made up powers and ridiculous ending are too much to handle. After I watched the Donner Cut, I wasn't surprised to see that the only parts of the theatrical (Lester) cut I liked were the Richard Donner scenes they left in.

Superman LIves? Is that supposed to be Superman Returns? What is that about? Yeah i have the dvd Superman Doomsday but that should have had the 4 supermen since they did use doomsday and followed some of the comics story. How AWESOME would it have been to see the 4 supermen in it. Who doesn't want to see Eradicator deal damage to others I was really disappointed by it. I would buy it for blu ray ONLY to support blu ray.

So how do u know all that was mentioned if it wasn't listed? I need to find out about these sources u guys hear stuff from so i can read up on it and get a bit more educated on all this. I am so willing to learn And u guys know ALOT!! :0)

Any news on Iron man coming to blu ray?

U know i checked out ebay, craigslist and amazon and they say NOTHING about the superman returns with the dolby True HD. HOw can someone even find it if there are no specifics about it? I want that one for sure.

OK here is one for u guys....TRANSFORMERS on blu ray, the ORIGINAL funimation 98 episodes and the never released headmaster, masterforce and victory series. IN FACT, they should just re release the headmaster master force and victory because the English dialogue they use sucksssssssss. It sounds like some missed lip syncked karate movie. They did it with the original transformers or dbz when they got it from japan years ago, they can do now with those last 3 series. They can beef it up to USA standards with proper music and all like they did with dbz. Can u saw AWESOMENESS!! lol
