It's odd how TMP says Director's Edition while Wrath of Khan does not. Only way they would include the Director's Edition is if they make it a combo pack and threw in a 15 year old DVD (and I wouldn't put it past Paramount to do so). But I like the use of the original artwork, rest of the art doesn't look as nice.

Lol! I'm the same way. Unless these are an under-the-radar retail exclusive(BB the most obvious choice) I just don't see it happening. At least not by June when all the other ST releases are due to street.

Since this is paramount I very much doubt it but would be nice if they remastered all the films in 4k for the 50th anniversary.

The Wrath of khan is the only one soon to get the directors cut on blu-ray but so far that's been limited to the US.

The description seems to imply only The Wrath of Khan has a director's cut, which makes sense:

God. This just shows you they will slap any old crap on the front of a metal box and people will still buy it.

Who in the hell thought that gold border was a good idea?

And the spines are just upsetting....
