Can someone clarify for me whats going on in the wifi world.
If I have WMV footage on my laptop (720p gametrailer stuff) and I stream it to my PS3 it lags, jerks and stutters (after 3-5 seconds anyway). AVI's work ok, as does music etc. Going back to the WMV (its only 1 minute of footage), if I copy the WMV it takes about 5-8 seconds longer to copy it than it does to stream it in realtime (ie the actual run time of the footage). Therefore that explains the stuttering. But, if I get HD PS3 footage and send it to my PSP via remote play, it doesn't stutter at all. So i'm confused really. Since I have a belkin 54mbps connection surely this is enough speed for that video footage from laptop to PS3. The two are only 10 feet apart and the signal is registering 100%. Could this be a potential firewall issue causing the speed to slow down or is this normal behaviour. |
