Default Sony Dumps Rear Projection TV

If you want a Sony SXRD LCOS rear projector display you will need to purchase it now before inventories are gone. Sony has discontinued all their rear projectors and will only be making Front projectors and LCD screens.
The SXRD LCOS have better response times and better black levels compared to LCD. Consumers have spoken with their wallets and they prefer Sony LCD screens since they are thinner, no bulbs to replace, and are only slightly higher then a rear projector since prices have fallen lately.

I think in the next year or two other companies will discontinue rear projectors also. Rear projectors might go the way of the CRT screens and possible die out.
