I've checked the BVA's site and only Batman: The Killing Joke is listed for August 8, 2016. But £22 isn't bad for five movies on Blu-ray. I only have Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Gotham Knight, so if they're not included it will be a great set for me!

If that's like the DVD it will contain, Superman: Unbound, Superman: Doomsday, Superman VS. The Elite, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.

Its probably just wishful thinking on my part, but they're hardly releasing Batman: The Animated Series & Superman: The Animated Series on Bluray? There's no images or other information on the listings. I'd assume its not what I think because there'd surely be more chatter about it online.

Just curious if anyone has seen anything or could shed some more light as to what this is?

They will be boxsets of the DCU films (ie Batman Under the Red Hood, Year One etc) not the animated series.

There was a thread started last week.

We're assuming they'll be similar to the DVD sets, but Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm won't be with the Batman set. They may pop in The Killing Joke instead, so for £22 it will be a bit of a bargain.

The BDs of DC animated movies always have bonus episodes included, so you should have more than a dozen episodes of Batman The Animated Series or the Justice League (they usually tie-in with the feature) with 5 BDs.

I doubt it will include The Killing Joke as that is not released until August 8th but these sets are out July 25th.

I am going to pre order the killing joke as that is a very good comic arc so it should be a good movie fingers crossed. Has anyone asked amazon if they have any information on these boxsets?

You're right, originally they were reported to be on the same day, so it's very unlikely that we'd get The Killing Joke early.

Warner Bros. are also releasing Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman: Complete Series and The Adventures of Superman: Collection on DVD.

All the Harry Potters are getting re-issued with UVs on August 8, 2016. So a busy few weeks for Warner Bros. who seem to be good at re-issuing some titles, but are hopeless at releasing the rest of their catalogue titles which seem to get releases everywhere apart from the UK!

The Batman Collection includes Mystery of the Batwoman, Batman: Bad Blood, Under the Red Hood, Gotham Knight and Year One. The Superman set includes the same films as the previously released DVD set.

Yeah, to my knowledge this is the first time that Red Hood, Year One, and Batwoman gets a BD release in the UK.

You aren't the only one. I am waiting for many of my favorite releases to show up on Blu but sadly it looks like Batman TAS and several others won't make it.

I am even prepared to accept SD on Blu for Batman TAS.

I'll probably grab these in a year or two when the price drops.

Yeah, we've got ALL of the Justice League and JL: Unlimited on bluray - that's cool but I don't know any fan who wouldn't rather have Batman: TAS.

I'm at least hoping to get Mask Of The Phantasm on blu soon, as well as the elusive final season of Batman Brave And The Bold. If we get Phantasm, may as well do Sub-Zero as well to complete the Timmverse Batmovies

Thanks for the update, Laser! Trust them to bundle Batman: Bad Blood with it when I only bought it a few weeks ago. Never mind. On a more positive note, Batman vs Robin has finally had a price drop so I'll have to pick that up.

The good thing about the DC BDs is they all have great bonus features, including episodes of Batman: The Animated Series or the Justice League, but I'm on the fence about my pre-order as it works out about £7 for each film I don't have.
