Yes. I have the same exact setup. Works perfect. The docs look great and most of the movies look great. Have fun.

I got mine included in the Samsung JS9500 purchased and I tried to use it on the 4k player and it didn't work.

I, too, have the Samsung video pack from when I had a JS9500. I now have an LG G6, with the Samsung 4K player, and I could not get the drive to work with the player.

I ordered my from e-bay, no idea what the original source was from. It's model number CY-SUC10SH1. I plug it into the USB 3 port in the front of the player. Then you have to click "Multimedia" then to "Storage" and the drive shows up there. Not sure what other models there might be of this drive.

That's really interesting. That's the same drive I have. Worked flawlessly when I had a Samsung TV, of course, but once I switched over to LG I figured it was a lost cause. I didn't spent a lot of time tinkering with it, just plugged into the K8500, couldn't get it to play, and just figured it was worth a shot. I'll have to play with it again tonight.

Yes, you have to use the player as the gateway. I have an LG tv and the UHD pack will not work plugged straight into the TV. You have to use the Samsung 4K player to view content from the hard drive.

Works fine through my Samsung player to my projector. I think the only caveat is you have to have an internet connection for verification, but I'm not 100% on that.

I also received mine from an E-bay seller for about $50. It plays perfectly using the Samsung UHD player. Also plays plugged directly into my UN55JS8500 but works better on the 4k player. For some reason the HDR kicks in when playing the 10 movies directly on my TV but not when going through my UHD player. There is no HDR on the 10 movies.
