That can't be true that there is only german language on. I have never seen that on a german disc for an american or foreign movie. Amazon must be wrong like they are very often

I'm sorry to say that it's true. Only the german dub. It's confirmed by Splendid, they didn't get the english soundtrack. Why, they didn't say.

It's not really interesting, you failed to post any link in your first comment confirming it as any sort of fact. The only link was to Amazon listing. Next time, instead of just throwing out specs that could easily be considered speculation, post your source.

Yeah then this release can take a hike. How in the hell can they release a Blu-Ray with no original sound on ?

A lot of people in Germany are not interested if the original language track is included or not because they only watch movies with a German dub. In the forum I linked to, some Users try to convince Splendid to release this title in a Mediabook to make this release more "valuable". They are willing to pay 20-30 Euros instead of 10 just for this type of package/case.

That the disc will only feature the german dub is correct but the aspect ratio will be: 16x9 anamorphic (2,11:1).

But since we're talking about the Blu-ray disc format that's not correct at all.

I guess this is akin to Jackie Chan's films getting released by Miramax with only the 1990 redubs, but it still doesn't make any sense. If you can get the rights to release "the film" on blu-ray, how much more expensive would it be to include the original audio with it? And if you're that cheap as a company, why bother releasing it?

Well, it looks like I'll try and get this, extract the audio and subtitles from the DVD, and create a new version.

Awesome news, will be buying this. Just guessing but this must be a response to complaints received about the first pressing with no English audio track as it rare the same studio a few months later rereleases the same movie. It's their own fault if that's the case, should have got it right the first time.
