Default Amazon.com

Why do Amazon put the full price of Blu Rays on the packaging and not the price I pay?
Due to rip off UK I buy most disc's from Amazon especially the BOGOF offer which works out really cheap until that is Mr Postman knocks on the door asking for money! I know anything over £18 we have to pay import tax on so I make sure my orders come in at just under that. But Amazon list the full retail price of each disc on the packaging bringing my order as far as customs is concerned to way over £18 thus slapping me with about £15 import duty! To be fair Amazon do refund me this cost but its still a pain having to pay it and drag myself down to the sorting office to collect the package. Does anyone know how I can get round this problem

Or does anyone work for Amazon and can explain why they do this
