Did you actually buy the disc? If you just borrowed it then don't fret it.

Blasphemy! Blasphemy I say!!

You should be dragged into the streets an shot in the head.

...maybe that's a bit harsh, but a least a couple of knee shots should be given.

You shouldn't be apologizing to us...you should be apologizing to the PS3!

Maybe a nice dust off or a nice relaxing wipe down with some Pledge Multisurface would suffice...

Oh no don't use Pledge, use Monster Screen Clean, that's what I use on my Samsung LCD and on my PS3. It only contains water and proprietary polymers that will keep your AV gear looking great and will make your tv and PS3 feel good when you wipe them down...

Whoops...sorry, I was just looking for something a little more high tech, and exotic, than a damp cloth with water.

The combo didn't render the PS3 useless?

The PS3 is unkillable.

are you a chick? 'cause that would be pretty hot....OH! that's right you were talking about the HDDVD thing. I wouldn't worry about it. you might wanna run a disc cleaner/disinfecter kit thru your PS3 a couple times, tho.

On an interesting note if you play that hd dvd(dvd side) in your ps3, the audio is pretty much the same as if it were played in an hd dvd player. Unless you have one of the few discs with lossless audio, then the picture wont be much of a difference in that case.

Damn son, you'd better send your poor PS3 to Sony and have them sterilize it.

The next firmware update for the PS3 is expected to add a "chew up and shred" feature to the drive which automatically activates on insertion of HD-DVD formatted materials.

Oh man, can you imagine what your PS3 went through? I'd say that's a lesson well-learned on your part.
