Default What do your friends and acquaintances prefer?

My family currently has no interest in HDM. Most of my colleagues and associates do not. In other words, none give a rip about the media war and the optical vs. downloads issue.

Mostly, this is aimed at the younger set with the more tech savvy friends. Do those you know who are not really INTO home theater prefer to go to the movies, rent or buy DVD's (or HDM for that matter), or do they prefer to download or stream movies that are currently available? Do THEY seriously care about PQ/AQ, or are they happier sitting in their rooms, offices, cubicles, buses, subways, whatever, watching movies using headphones on their laptops or Iphones?

well i have both formats which i demo to friends etc, and most who want HDM think BD is the way to go after seeing both in action and discussing boths pros and cons.

Some like the PiP functions, but so far NOBODY wants to use web enabled content and most have said they wont have a dvd player conected to the tinternet 24/7.

I show both to be fair and i tell Peeps I favour Blu Ray from the off

The last guy i demoed to was the SKYTV installer. He was blown away by BD and commented how wrong alot of the info hed seen on some forums was.

He was impressed.
