Super Mario Run - Mobile December 15th

Miyamoto took to the stage at todas Apple event to reveal super Mario run for mobile.

Looks like a traditional 2D Mario platformer.

I just watched the video and they clearly say first on iOS. It would stand to reason Android will be supported eventually.

Also announced was that Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem are delayed to next year (March at the latest).

I think I can get more interested in this than Pokemon Go. But it does have to come to Android or else I might have to dig out my old iPhone 3 that I kept as a "games" device and then lost interest in.

Yeah, luckily my wife has an iPad so I can try it out on that. If it's that good I'll gladly re purchase on my Moto Z.

I find myself buying games, only to never play them, so I'm trying to resolve to not buy anymore (or at least be very, very selective). So it's nice to see some of the Nintendo titles make it to mobile, even if they are stripped down a bit.

You don't have to, it's free to play, you're just limited in what you can do without paying.

It's not an app, it's a videogame. And if you think spending 10.00 for a videogame is unreasonable then your sense of entitlement is out of control.

I can't believe how many people are against this for $10. There is a reason the mobile market is in such shambles. The market doesn't except much that isn't free or $0.99. The race to the bottom made people not think these games carry value. This is a full Mario game with standard levels. This isn't an endless runner like I see people talking about. People are trying to compare this to Temple Run. This game uses the endless runner template on a standard Mario game. This game has regular levels though. I can't understand how that isn't worth only $10.

If I have to play it on an iPad or a phone then it's just an app. I have no problem paying $10 for a physical video game. Just not an app.

Does this go for consoles too? IS a great game like Thumper which doesn't have a disc just an app?

Yeah I don't play any of the digital only games unless they get a physical release at some point or end up free through PS Plus or XBox Live Gold. I've paid for a few things my kid has begged me for but to me it's all disposable entertainment and anything more than a buck or two is crazy

Fair enough. In the end though that digital file and whats on the disc is the exact same thing. If you didn't see the person pop in the disc you could be playing a digital game and not know haha.

True, but with my physical games, I can finish them and resell them or trade them, which is why I don't bother spending much money on digital only or apps.

Kind of the same with movies now also. I don't rent or buy digital movies/shows outside of streaming services
