Default HighDefDigest google ads every Blu-ray fan should click!

My fellow blu ladies and gentlemen,

You have a chance to prevent DUD FUD from spreading on the internet and in the meantime, make sure those DUD supporters pay! And pay MONEY!

If you go to http://forums.highdefdigest.com (you don't need to register), and then going on the Blu-ray vs. DUD smackdown forum, you will see some google ads on the right. Any time you click on these ads, the provider gets charged some money, I've seen it cost between 1 cents to 20 dollars, depending on the time of day and other factors. Sometimes you will see ads to the www.hdnowonline.com and gizmocafe.com (hddvds.gizmocafe.com, or something else that contains gizmocafe.com). You know these guys and these sites are highly ranked enemies of our own, and you should do everything to click on them so the uninformed public doesn't do so. If you click the ads enough times (one unique click per IP) their budgets for the day will be blown, and they won't show any more.

As a blu supporter, it's your duty to check forums.highdefdigest.com every day multiple times, and if you see either HDNOW or gizmocafe ads, make sure you click on it. You won't see them all the time, so keep checking back during the day. Please do this so the DUD FUDsters cannot spread their scourge over the internet.

Thank you,
Your fellow blu-brother, permabanned from HDD
corduroygt

I have been permabanned for the past 2 months.
It's ok for HDD to make money, the actual site is pretty good, no need to dismiss it just because their forums are infested with morons.

I don't know, there's been an influx over the last month and 1/2, and I think he lost his crown. I wonder where they all came from?

You do know a post like this asking people to click on ads is completely against the TOS for Google Adsense?

^^^Not to mention it will give the mentioned site ad revenue as well.

Why would we want to artificially inflate their earnings?

Only if you own the site that the ads are displaying. I have no stake in HDD, actually I've been banned from their forums, so what can Google do about it?

I agree

The OP seems like he's trying to trick us or something.

It's only a matter of if their ad-bots pick-up on it. They scour all sites that utilize the adsense program, as this one does, to insure validity of the ads they place and charge back to the members who advertise with them. To have artificially inflated numbers devalues adsense and they frown on that highly.

What can they do? If you're really interested you can go read the TOS from adsense. You just have to hope if a bot catches it, they don't associate it with this site.

its only if its on the site in question, it shouldnt make any odds here. google also uses stoopid algorythms to determine if there is irregular use and checks ips clicking the ads. Odd patterns are more likely to get them pulled than a post here

The mentality of some people never ceases to amaze me. It is probably someone else with this same type of attitude that hacked the blu-raydisc.com.

What is wrong with educating people when you can, and supporting your format with purchases instead of playing games? This type of crap shouldn't even be posted here. If this is what supporting a format is about I don't want a part of it.

The HDNow and GizmoDVD sites are spreading misinformation, not educating the customer. Therefore you should make sure that the uninformed public does not visit them by clicking their links and busting their ad budgets.
I don't get it why all the fuss because I asked you to click a link, which only benefits an unbiased site which is rather good except for its forums.

perhaps an email to the owners will be in order, they can filter ads and block ones that are not good

Can I suggest the best policy is ignore them. If you ignore them for long enough they will go away. Just because they (collectively - as in their fan base not necessarily the HD-DVD companies) behave badly doesn't mean we (the Blu fan base) have to do likewise. Although the OP posted with good intent can I suggest honor and integrity will prevail.
