I never made it to the theater to see this, and I'm glad I didn't, with the announcement of this release. I'm hoping that more and more of the newer films will come to HD optical formats day and date with DVD so I can skip the theaters all together. The wait time from theater to DVD seems to be about 4 months anyways.

Bad idea.

Studios still need theatrical revenue . Deserving films get shunned otherwise.

Damn it... Now I'm going to have two PS3s sitting in my room, which I supposed to be selling, but it's going to have Talladega Nights inside, which I'll be dying to watch. Decisions, Decisons...

I'm also wondering if they are going to maybe include a stripped down version of the movie for PS3, like how the real released on 12/12 is going to be the "unrated" edition, maybe the PS3 version is just a theatrical cut, with limited extras? We'll see... The week of November 12th is going to be very, very interesting.

the probably have to include the pg-13 version, and not the unrated version. think of the children.lol

It's been confirmed that the PS3 will include the theatrical cut, with no special features as not to take away sales from the BD that drops a month later.

I think unrated versions are overrated.

Just popped in my blu ray and it skips horribly. I tried it on 2 different players. Is this a known issue?
