The folks arguably more interested in hearing what Oliver/a filmmaker has to say likely have greater overlap with packaged media buyers than those acquiring the film via iTunes. Oliver is fairly engaged with his audience/fans via Facebook. I will ask about whether this is something done at his request (which I doubt) or over his objection. |

Yes. The first that immediately comes to mind is exclusive enhanced commentary tracks for Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond. I'm sure they've had exclusive bonus content with several other films as well.

Eye in the Sky and Don't Think Twice just recently advertised ITunes exclusive commentary tracks. All three are films Universal is distributing at home but didn't handle theatrically, so they may have struck a deal with Apple on some of their smaller titles (and unlike Star Trek are likely too small to ever get re-released with added extras, though at least the titles should have ITunes redemption codes).

A true return to form for Oliver Stone in my opinion. This was the only movie this year besides Hacksaw Ridge to move me to tears at the end. It's just a very well-done and respectful take on a man who's still going through it. It's probably one of the most realistic and un-flashy biopics I've ever seen. It really makes you question the difference between a traitor and a patriot and how we've lost our privacy rights and are perfectly okay with it. Definitely in my top ten films of 2016.
Also love this song that plays at the end, Peter Gabriel the man! |

Dammit, I never even looked into digital exclusive bonus features. Thanks for letting me know, even if it did annoy me.
