Germany XTRO - 35th Anniversary edition (Platinum Cult Edition)

Ok, one of my most awaited Blu-rays is coming out in Germany. Does anyone know how is the quality on this label's releases so far?

Two different editions, 4 discs + T-shirt and stuff limited to 500 and the other with the Blu-ray and Soundtrack limited to 1000 copies. 85/25 euros.

This movie is totally bonkers and I LOVE IT! And that birth scene isn't even on my list of highlights, the film has so many.

Uh oh... it's The Krekel, isn't it? That means it will have a blue cast over the entire image and tons of DNR, because it's world best.

In regards to the uber expensive edition, I see you get:

- a T-shirt
- a film negative (hopefully of either one of the creature shots or when the dude is being reborn)
- an Xtro figurine

I figure you get the blu-ray, the CD soundtrack and a dvd.. but what is the 4th disc?

Here is the link for both editions.

PS: has anyone purchased this, being that it looks like it was released on 11-16?

If you click the link it says February 2017 on both versions. But if indeed this Krekel's company there is a great chance this will look worse than the DVD.

Argh, I wish it wasn't limited so I could wait for reviews. This is really a unique movie and I'd really like to own a copy, but if the blu-ray is going to be trash, I don't feel like paying 25 euros for the privilege. :P

Aye, don't need a super DNR'd version of Xtro. But if it means there's an HD master around now, I'll take this as a good sign that another label in another region will release this in the semi-near future. ...And I'll keep my eyes on reviews, just in case they do resist tampering with this title.

There will bei a Special Limited Edition of the Blu-ray, containing a sculpture of the monster from the movie... or at least something that looks like a parody of that monster...

These photos show what Krekel calls a "prototype" of the sculpture. Don't know what you think, but to me it looks like something a 10-year-old would do in factory teaching at school.

The Monster from the movie looks like this:

I really want this. I suppose it can't look worse than Code Red's Mutant disc.

Oy. Any other label would have been raked over the coals three times over for that shitty release, he basically got a pass because he's quirky ole Bill.
If God exists, why isn't Mo'Nique one of the new Ghostbusters?

Interesting... the scene at 3:23 is completely new I do believe (where the mother is walking through the forest during the day and finds the animal remains).

The picture quality of BLACK MOON RISING is everything else but very good. Steep contrast, way to much red and a lousy compression.

Same with PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT. At least, Krekel didn't overuse his favorite toy, DNR, with these two titles.
