Why are they even still selling HD DVD's with BOGO deals if the industry wants one format?

I wonder if the bump in titles has anything to do with the 10% promotion ending in a couple days.

Any news that suggests BD standalones are keeping pace with HD-DVD standalones is a hammer blow considering HD-DVD's firesale pricing.

What is "firesale pricing" at Amazon? I thought that was a one time deal at Wal-Mart and they're now back over $200. Or am I wrong?

Because they want to squeeze every last dollar from uninformed HD-DVD buyers before the hammer drops.

The theory also is (spouted by our very own red ants) that it is good to empty the stocks before year end... or a major shift

I really don't care about Amazon what-so-ever...

I feel they cater to Wii/360 more than PS3 and they cater more to DUD than BRay...

I rather go to B&M stores to buy my stuff anyway...

I have never and will never buy a thing at Amazon...

Cool

This is a big deal for HD DVD let them have their week, we have the year. HD DVD is selling well this is their big push for Warner, they want them bad, but one week does not make the year.

I wonder if the issues Warner have been having with Blu-ray movies lately has scared people off buying that version.

Sometimes I wonder if some HD-DVD insider who works at Warner purposly sabotage the Blu-ray movies being produced at the factory.

When you sell 17 Wiis a second, I can understand catering to the Wii.
