Default Help-need to find Blu-ray statistics website

Hello all:

I am a Blu-Ray supporter. I own a samsung Blu-ray player, and last night I used my gift certs and some savings to buy an Acer lap top (17" widescreen monitor-LCD) with a Blu-Ray drive.

This reminded me of a website I used to know of that listed the blu-ray vs. HD DUD sales states, the Blu-Ray was on the left side of the screen, and HD DUD was on the right, and it listed weekly sales stats. Does anyone know what that website is? I lost it (I was laid off in November-but with notice, got a new job-double pay is nice as severance is still in-but my problem is I only viewed that site on my old job's computer during lunch hour, and I never viewed it at home. it was in my favorites, and now I can't find this site using search engines.)

IF ANYONE CAN PLEASE GIVE ME ANY WEBSITES THAT SHOW SALES STATS (recent) that would be totally awesome. Thanks. I love monitoring this war, as I am well invested in it on the side of Blu-Ray...

Thanks again!

It's risky to use sales ratios since they don't account for volume variation between weeks, but the rolling average ratios have been trending upwards i.e. in Blu-ray's favor since ~mid-November.

using anything but the Nielson/Videoscan information will give you an inaccurate view of the format war. While the information at eproductwars is not wrong, it's very misleading if taken as representative of the current state of the war. It's dramatically affected by sales (bogo or otherwise).

You can also find salesranks from DVD Empire.com here

They're taken directly from their own disc sales, so they're 100% accurate, at least for that one retailer.

Of course, every website is going to have their own demographic, and B1G1 free sales will influence which titles rank higher, so the best numbers you can find will be the Nielsen Videoscan numbers which include point of sale data from most of the major retailers like Best Buy.

Amazon, eproductwars and dvdEmpire numbers tend to differ from the Nielsens slightly or even significantly.

I might have said this before, but, i get the feeling that this will go on for several more months. but hope not i would love to see numbers like 80-20 or even 70-30, every week we constantly see 60ish to 30ish. i don't think there is a silver bullet to this again i hope i am wrong. good news is atleast in my home town HD space on shelves is gradually disappearing or have totally disappeared like in sams club. even thought it looks like a stalemate on the Internet hear it looks like BD is winning.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the help guys, Blu-Ray is still winning, but not as wide a margin as I would have hoped, but over 60% is great every week...

I don't believe any of theses sites (eproductwars, VGchartz, nexgenwars) since they don't list ALL their sources (I mean they can do a page with all the shops / sites they got their references from) and even if they showed those stats, shops could lie (fanboys are everywhere). Only Official statements that can be viewed on video could give some information.
