Default HD DVD fanboys caught!

Okay, so by now we know the LOTR was an april's fool day joke in spain. However, when it was announced for blu-ray ONLY, out of a small spanish company, somehow the HD DUDers on AVS knew and spewed that it was also coming to HD DVD too. Now given that this was a joke and had no backbone to it, how on god's earth did they know that it was coming? There was no inside information on this title that any one of them had heard, there couldn't have been, because the company that made the PR, made the PR simply as a joke.. They just made up the fact that it was coming to their stupid format. Bunch of liars and story fabricators. Really puts that story that a bd exclusive studio that is supposed to jump neutral in the next 72 hours into perspective.

It was simply a knee-jerk reaction, they assumed NL would release it in the US, they didn't know. It would be an incorrect assumption on their behalf, of course.

if that was the case, then they needed to word it like, "we should expect new line to release it here too, and given that wb has said they will stay neutral it will be coming to hd dvd."

its the equivilent of april's fool day in spain. it got announced for blu-ray out of a spanish company, who has rights to the trilogy in spain and immeidately the duders on avs claimed it was coming to hd dvd too. but now in retrospect, we had a valid press release (that was just an april fools joke) and what did they have? nothing. they just made it up.

Simple or too clever for their own good.

They could get away with bull**** for 6 months, 18 months on, however, their FUD is transparent, the only ones who are sucked in are other HD-DVD fanboys.

They are terrified that HD DUD will continue it's downward spiral and are ready to suggest anything to try to keep people believing in HD DUD.

It's nearly a laugh but it's really a cry.

I find myself angered by the HD-DVD fanboys they use FUD as thier main weapon, they'll say anything if they think it'll get thier format to win, they cheapped out on a format that wasn't ready (TL51) and they attack the one format that has a chance of being the clear winner... they hamper progress of technology and they have the ppossibility of destroying the HDM market entirely if they get what they want (co-existence). and dare we say anything against them on thier forums, we get attacked...

its not really spiraling downward, they are just having to spend more and more money to keep getting the same numbers. once the money is pulled, its not going to spiral downward, its going to plummet. i mean, the nielsen's are the same as they were last summer.

however, i think most of them realize that they are going to lose wb support and that they really have no new releases coming their way that are any good. in that regard they do see their format failing.

they are in heavy denial right now and will simply say anything to justify their investment.

im sorry, i expect people to tell the truth and not make up lies.

if you want to speculate that it is coming to hd dvd via new line staying neutral, then that is fine with me.

however, there is a HUGE difference between saying, "i think," or "it most likely," or even "it should," versus, "it is" or "my contact/insider said,".

there wasn't any speculating about it, they were over there convincing trying to convince themselves and spread more FUD that this was not just coming to blu-ray, but to hd dud too. and they got caught. and im exposing it.

btw: while a blu-exclusive lotr would be a huge blow to them, it would not be a war ender by any means.
