Hi
I was wondering if anyone has a list of which studios are region free when purchasing Blu-rays from the UK? I know that Disney and Warner Bros. are region free but which other studios also make region free Blu-rays that will play in North America? Thank you, |

Universal - 99% region free (only lock titles they don't have worldwide distribution) Disney - been region free for several years now not counting one or two releases Paramount - mostly region free (only lock titles they don't have worldwide distribution) Sony - hit and miss Fox - hit and miss Basically the same rule applies both sides of the pond, if its region free in the US its likely to be region free here. |

I hear this a lot. The reason I personally don't buy a region free player is because there is a huge backlog of titles that I want and can play but can't yet afford to buy. Blu-rays are a much more relaxed format than dvd ever was, there's a surprising amount of discs that are region friendly, so I think we are quite lucky.

I bought this region free player refurbished for $119 USD: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's a great player. There's an even cheaper model out there sans 3D. I feel anyone who cares about collecting BDs owes it to themselves to go region free. |

Send me the money and I'll happily go region-free. Like I said, there's a huge backlog of region compatible discs that I would like to buy, but can't afford. There's a difference between caring about collecting blu-rays and having a more than healthy disposable income. Some people have family commitments and low-paid jobs. It ain't all sunshine and roses for many people. Don't assume that those who aren't region-free don't "care" about collecting blu-rays.

And as said above this was never the case with DVD where I was region free from day one. Last edited by Fnord Prefect; 02-11-2017 at 12:42 AM. |

Does anyone know if 'Suits' seasons 4 and 5 blu rays are region free from the U.K.? Typically Universal releases are region free, but Amazon U.K. Lists them as region B. I wanted to know before importing them. Thanks

I bought 007 BOND 50 from the UK, Saved $100 compared to here in Canada.
Region free was well worth it. |
