Australia The Mummy, The Mummy: Returns & Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - 4K UHD, 10/5/17

I spoke with Universal Sony Home Entertainment a short while ago about these, they are currently listed on their system showing a release date of the 10th of May.

Oh nice - well at least the first two. These could really do with a new scan. I hope they don't go the cheap Bourne route.

They are really not going to do new scans.. too much easy money up for grabs for studios. Why re-scan when people will buy them anyway.

I'd love it if they gave us local steelbooks like the Italian releases:

or the Trilogy steelbook, which doesn't seem to be in the database here yet:

Mummy_Trilogy.jpg

They'd almost make the films worth buying (again).

Sanity have now added the cover art to their listings of these, the images are a bit larger and better quality than the ones from Ezydvd's site:

If the quality of some of Universals so called 4k discs are anything to go by this will be another upscaled 2k pile of crap and best left on the shelf.
The first 4 Bourne films were an insult and I got a refund. Not seen the most recent one yet but kept it assuming it was genuine 4k.

Are they in regular cases or in those cardboard abominations that scratch the discs like the Ultimate Trilogy?
