I liked it a lot... one of the best of Argento's "recent" films... thrilled to see it make a blu ray debut

Not really, but Max von Sydow is pretty fantastic in it.

It has a couple of great set pieces. I'm really hoping they include the Italian audio so I can retire my old Medusa DVD. On Facebook, they said it depends on what's provided by the licensor. So we'll see. If not, I'll have to see how the PQ compares to the Edition Tonfilm release.

It is often considered to be Argento's last great/good work even if i much prefer "The Card Player", "Jenifer" and "Mother of tears".
But "Sleepless" has some great things:
the 20 first minutes, Max Von Sydow, Goblin and most of the murders scenes (the "carpet scene" is one of my favourite shots in Argento's career!)

I'll get it if it has a PQ upgrade and/or the Italian audio track with subs. Otherwise, I may just stick to my Edition Tonfilm Blu-ray, but I'm glad this is coming out over here. The more Argento, the better.

I just hope somebody does an English-friendly Phantom of the Opera before long.

The carpet shot is Argento at his best. I prefer the killer's voice on the Italian track but miss Max Von Sydow's voice so always end up choosing the English track anyway. A big plus for Sleepless is the excellent Goblin score, it's a shame that the band had another falling out and parted ways with Simonetti. Would have liked to have heard more Goblin being used on subsequent Argento films.

i'm a bit mixed about these films but they have both their good moments and even "lesser" Argento works deserve "definitive" Blu Ray 2K/4K Special Releases with lots of bonus!!

Still no news? I'm resorting to watching the lousy old cropped jaggied artifacted horribly authored Artisan DVD that I borrowed from a friend. Looks like a pretty good Argento so far, in spite of the horrible transfer.

Are you saying the German Blu released in 2013 by LFG is cut? Mondo Digital's review doesn't mention it being cut. What's missing?
