Oh yes! I'd have thought it would be three discs: 1/The Mummy plus extras (same as the original big box) 2/The Mummy's Hand plus A&C Meet The Mummy, & 3/Tomb/Ghost/Curse, the hour long cheapo (but fun) films. This is the set I was hoping for after the Frankenstein set, a must-have

I suppose it makes sense releasing this set to drum up interest in the new re-boot, which I've no interest in.

I'm only really interested in Son Of Dracula, but these sets tend to be very reasonably priced, so sod it, I'll be buying that too!

Nice! I'd speculated last year that The Mummy and another set would likely be released to coincide with The Mummy reboot ( about the only upside I saw in that films release...) and this paves the way for Creature and Invisible Man for Halloween. Bring 'em on!

I just noticed the Amazon page states it comes with a Digital copy too. I wonder for what film(s)? The two previous legacy sets didn't include any.

I think that, out of all of the Universal Monsters films, The Mummy has the strongest set of sequels. The Mummy's Hand, The Mummy's Tomb, The Mummy's Ghost, and The Mummy's Curse are all quite engaging.


I guess that this release is being timed to coincide with Mummy Impossible (oops, I meant The Mummy), which comes out this summer.

It's interesting that I don't see the 1931 Spanish version of Dracula included, seeing as how I've got it on my Universal Monsters box set and on my stand-alone Dracula Blu-ray.

For me, that Spanish version is more of a curiosity than anything else. Many film lovers prefer the Spanish version of Dracula because of the slight improvements in camera angles (which were sometimes altered using the dailies from Tod Browning's Dracula as templates) and because of the slightly-amped sex appeal of the women, but, for me, Bela Lugosi seals the deal when it comes to the English language version being the superior one.

It's still strange to see it omitted from a Dracula collection, though.
