Or at least have some moderator rule keeping them to requiring some disclaimer of whether the poster actually works for a studio and is soliciting unscientific information on the sly--
The 80's/90's Sony poll threads on the General boards did so right up front...And although I'm sure we all think those threads were Neat-O, Paidgeek's Sony credentials were listed up front in every post, and nobody who read the Insider threads questioned their validity.
(Unless the "Paidgeek will read the threads" was ANOTHER bit of wishful "My post will change the world!" fan-push volunteerism... )

I'm sure the board would like to keep "What movies do you want to see?" as an avenue for real marketing survey information, and not wishful-thinking insecure-noobie posts that want to beat the living crap out of the Poll function because they're too insecure to start a real discussion thread...
We don't want to have the next real studio-employed semi-official survey ending being the Boy Who Cried Lonely Attention-Starved Newbie, and have the real posters end up ignored by a well-glutted board who's given up caring.

...There's such a thing as being TOO enthusiastic for the board's own good.

LMAO we should definitely poll this, but seriously i hate the New Line Cinema: (Year) polls, im so sick of them, we need to put better stuff, im surprised the "rulers" of Bluray.com didn't send him a message tell him to stop

Have to agree. Thats insane. I noticed it didn't cover all of the years in motion picture history though. What ever happened to the 1930's and 40's for Warner and Universal? Maybe the New Line Cinema should not go simply by the year, but be divided by month of each year to avoid confussion. 2005 X 12 different months would be better.

Hmm, I actually enjoy seeing what people on here are interested in. Sometimes they do help as the insiders have said that there are people from studios who look in on these forums. Also, Paid has sent in a few to Sony, so who is to say that someone from Warner/New Line or any other studio is looking at these polls?

But that being said, if you don't like those threads, as it has been stated before, quit replying to them and they will eventually go away.
