Sorry to bump this with a question but does Ebay do anymore of these 20% off codes? I’m thinking the last time was around this holiday shopping time of the year. One of those discount codes would sure come in handy right now.

I don’t know how helpful this answer will be. But I’ll give it a whirl.

To me, it seems like eBay as a whole has cut back on the amount of coupon codes and discounts that they extend to users nowadays. I remember in years past, I would get coupons via either the app or email; however, I’m not really getting much of anything. I did get a coupon code about a month or so ago that I used for a Christmas present. However the discount was only like $15 or so bucks...

Not sure if this experience has been the same for other people. But thought I’d pass along my two cents.

Thank you! I think you've nicely encapsulated what's been going on with EBay lately in regards to discount codes. It's been pretty dry. I was hoping for some of those percent off codes but I guess it's not to be.

Ebay drastically cut back on those site-wide discounts. There have been basically none this year...maybe one back in the spring, or another very early in the year, but that was it. I read in an article it was intentional, that they wanted to absorb less of a hit with those site-wide deals and give out smaller coupons and Ebay buck rebates instead.

Glad I stocked up on a lot of things in 2018, when those discounts were regularly doled out.

I think when they do these types of discounts regularly, it basically just trains people to always wait for the discount before they buy anything.

That's what it did for me. I've barely bought anything on eBay this year due to the lack of discounts.
