Seeing as James Gunn has signed on to direct a third film I think I'll wait for a boxset of all three films!

Pre-ordered the steel. These usually sell out super fast, I was actually checking Zavvi yesterday to see if there was a listing.

I think it just got most people by surprise. It went live 1 min after midnight, and was still available by 7am this morning, which isn't like these Zavvii Marvel steels

And is still available !!

In for the steelbook before the 'Sold Out' signs go up. Can always cancel later, if necessary.

Really appreciated Zavvi sending me a text alert for this at 00:15 this morning, waking up half the house with my Rockford Files text tune blaring out at full volume

Don't wait. Just saw it.

It's so good. Sad. Funny and stupidly fun.

A tad more adult mind than the last one

Also just saw. It's fantastic. Not as good as the first but still great. Really funny and epic with loads of surprises for huge nerds like me

I hear that a lot "not as good as the first". I'd say it is just not as surprising as nobody had seen any of this world and most of these characters when the first movie came out.

I was shocked at how good it was, easily as good as the first for me. It's visually stunning on IMAX, more emotional than the first movie and filled with more humour, albeit arguably trying hard to be funny at times if you know what I mean. And characters I didn't care about in the first movie, I now care about in this one.. Yondu, Nebula etc. And new characters like Mantis and Ego were winners.

Wasn't quite sure the music was as memorable as the first movie, but may change opinion on repeat viewing. Also some of the Ego stuff might be a bit too crazy for the average movie goer as it feels way out there in comic book territory.

Being "not as good as the first" isn't necessarily a knock on Vol 2, it's still an excellent film. I think you're right that part of the first films appeal was nobody expected it to work. But they're both brilliant!

Mate. There are bits when I thought this could have been blade runner or total recall

I. Loved. This. While it's not as good a MOVIE as the first one, I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. The dictionary definition of fun, I just had the biggest grin on my face the whole time. I DO think it was too long and it had 1 too many plotlines going on at the same time but that's about it. 9/10.

Not really, some people just prefer having a set of films bundled together same as I'd much rather wait till a tv series has ended and then buy the complete collection rather than single seasons. Horses for courses. Looking forward to seeing this next week.

Watched it on opening day, I loved it, a fun ride. Probably not as good as the first one, as said by many before, but still very recommended!
