Now that Sony Pictures is including Dolby Vision on some UHD BD disks, fingers crossed that this will be one of them. Heck, it's not coming out till June 2018, it might have Samsung's HDR10+ format as the base layer, and Dolby Vision also included. We're a long way off, but I'm willing to bet this disk will indeed feature some type of dynamic metadata hdr format... Great little film, I remember seeing it in the theater as a child. My dad took us to almost every movie though.

obviously the timing of the new musical of this on Broadway bears no incentive to release this any quicker.

I love this movie and so glad it's getting a disc release but another year away!

Also Sony Groundhog Day is not June it's February 2nd.

The new remaster as seen on the Japanese Blu-ray is gorgeously film-like but has some colour problems, if this UHD corrects that then this could look stunning as far as 35mm on UHD is concerned.

Having finally made the full transition to 4k this past week, this is a title that popped in my head, as I knew the 4k master was already lurking about. When it dawned on me that next year is the 25th anniversary, I figured Sony would give it a shot

They do seem pretty big on the 4k anniversary releases, between this, Labyrinth, Fifth Element, etc.
