Why does it matter these days if there isn't a ton of diversity? Saying things like it doesn't get any whiter is just race baiting imo. The film looks like silly chick flick stuff that Reese has been doing forever, I'm sure it'll do okay.

It's nothing I would rush out to see but it doesn't look as bad as you make it out to be lol Having Michael Sheen is a big plus for me

She's better than this. Looks rank; a tax write-off.

Question

Sooooo, it's PAINFULLY Obvious you Abhor her as an actress yet you go out of your way to start a new thread with her new movie & List ALL the things wrong with it, based SOLELY on the Trailer alone.

Yea, that makes Complete sense....

It shouldn't but when Hollywood keeps talking non stop about more diversity, it's hard not to call them out on their hypocrisy.

"Chick flicks" are Reese's bread and butter, they're her meal ticket and since Hot Pursuit failed at the box office, it makes sense to go back to a subgenre she's known for. I'd just wish she'd quit making such crappy ones and this look like another addition to the crappy pile.

Poya abhors Reese Witherspoon as a person, too (probably more so than as an actress).

This Means War is an underrated gem. I won't hear a negative word about it.

In fact I thought it was a new Home Alone sequel.

You're right about Hollywood and there new take on forced gender swapping/race baiting.

Did he need the cash that badly because he's done better work than this.

If this was released this Friday, it could've been a hit. No competition. Dead month overall. The studio has not been making smart decisions lately.

Cundey hasn't lensed a great film since Apollo 13.
It's kinda depressing.

What? The Intern is absolutely wonderful. I watch it all the time. Hilarious.

Anyways, as to this film, I love Reese and she's been in a bunch of good movies, not to mention "Big Little Lies" on HBO recently. But this just doesn't look good. It doesn't look bad, mind you. It just doesn't look like something I'd want to see. Though, to be honest, I will probably eventually watch it since, well, Reese.

PS: Which reminds me, I still need to see Devil's Knot. Looks really good.

Yeah, Devil's Knot's on Netflix. I don't recommend it. Absolutely botched telling of the West Memphis 3. Reese Witherspoon gives one of the worst and most unintentionally hilarious performances of her career and while Colin Firth is good, his attempts at an American accent are unspeakably bad. The ending is an absolute insult to everyone involved in the tragedies.

Hmm. Well, I'll give it a shot. And actually, given what you said, I'm almost more interested now.
