The first game seemed a bit of a disaster but I've not played in a very long time and can't recall if I had the graphics patch installed when I did. Think I'll wait for the inevitable release and DLC packaged version for half price. The Crew had so much potential and went to crap.

The Crew. Easy one for me to pick. I think most will admit they played the crap out of The Division over The Crew and how bad that was online to play. The worst part of The Crew online races are the "Catch up" mechanic it seemed to employ for even real people as well as the AI. Made winning much harder than it should be when you pull off a large and skillful lead.
With The Division, the devs had the humility to admit where things weren't working and they overhauled it as much as possible. Only FF14 will be the true goodwill winner of how an overhaul went, but The Division still did really well. |

Daft question, but are they sticking with the United States as your playground, or anyone think they will move on to another country? I mean, they already have the groundwork done for the city locations, so adding polish to them (like revamping San Franciso by using the Ubisoft map of it from Driver San Francisco wouldn't be a bad idea!) would be the next step...

Nothing confirmed at all yet but I'm not sure when The Crew was originally announced if they wanted to simply take the existing map and just make it even higher with even more of the USA included.
Personally, I would like to see dedicated servers and better game modes, a more polished and working "story" mode and generally stuff to do from the get go. Might revisit the game but it left me a little disappointed after all the hype. Seems to be a Ubisoft trait lately. |

Watch Dogs 2 was fun, and so is Ghost Recon Wildlands from Ubisoft. AC Syndicate is not a bad game either. Too bad the Crew 2 will likely be online only. Forza Horizon 3 was offline too, so not sure why the Crew team believes in online only other than to keep the community in larger numbers online temporarily.
Once the servers are gone in a few years, this game to explore the US will be unplayable. If they just threw in an offline mode with AI bots, it would last in the history of games, as playable. Fuel on PS3 lets you explore the US but in a post apocalyptic land without many recognizable landmarks or cities. |

Agreed. I played the timed free play of The Crew demo, saw a couple live racers once in a blue moon, and had fun exploring the terrain till the game ran out of time. Having hardly seen any live players, there's not a good reason they couldn't create a simple option that allowed you to play offline. It's essentially the same experience if you don't see many online racers in the game. Oh well.

Online only means that 10+ years from now, when the servers probably no longer exist, this game will be entirely unplayable for anyone who wants to relive the open world.
