Hate to say it, but would be much better if it was a complete set.. still nice though.

I believe Australia was the first country to get a Death Wish complete set on DVD, with the inclusion of an Uncut DW2.

Good thing I never picked up the Shout release of Death Wish 2.

Well obviously, are they uncut? And will there be a release of the first one any time? Either way it's probably time to upgrade, might just hunt down the US release since it's region free. I've only ever owned the first one on DVD anyway (region 2 copy)

Looks like a solid effort!


Doesn't look like I'll be upgrading DW1 any time soon, unless Umbrella somehow secures the rights or Roadshow does a local release of the WB disc. It's thoroughly OOP and going for full-retard prices if it's available at all.

mmmm... I note that it was a Paramount release in the US... I vaguely recall DW 1 being a Columbia Pictures release down under.....

as for the others.. they were all Cannon fodder....

It's good to see some catalogue titles that I'm interested in, getting a local release. The amount of catalogue titles released locally in the first half of this year has been a little lite in my opinion. Hopefully Umbrella have more like this planned for the second half of the year (some from peoples suggestions when they asked on Facebook would be great).

Is the Unrated Cut of Part II going to have Paul Talbot's audio commentary?

That seems to be the only real extra on Shout's edition.

Hopefully they will release all the Death Wish films in the series.
