is this a good tv? I'm in the desert and someone's selling it for $600 and I wanted to know if it was worth getting.

For $600, it's a great deal...

I have one but do not know what model you are looking to purchase in the desert...

The TV looks slick and sexy...sounds awesome...picture is great...because it's probably 18+ month old edition, my guess is, you will see blur in action sequences if you are up real close but I am a tad on the anal side about that kind of thing...but, I've watched so many BRays on it, played so many PS3 games on it, so many of my Redskins games on it...it's just awesome!!!

Buy it!

Default My model is older

It looks like he is saving you $200 or so...

Seriously though, I'd wait and get you a 1080P for $1200 or so...40"...I see that price for decent LCDs (Sharp, Samsung, LG) all the time now...BJs...BB etc...

I never buy anything used...if he were saving you 50% off two month old HDTV, that would be one thing but to me, it's not worth the savings to buy a second hand HDTV...

As far as LCDs are concerned, Samsung is a great brand...like I've said, I've had mind for two years now and it's the perfect bedroom set...

Good luck...
