Totally agree with you ryanmcv and those of us who are slipcover collectors will be hoping for a lenticular version. Universal does them well.

Question: has anyone tried to use the $8 off ticket price coupon via Fandango to see this in the theater, is this applicable for 3D screenings? I tried using the code for a 3D presentation at my neighborhood AMC and it looked like it wasn't accepting it online (ugh!)

EDIT: aw it worked ..a little over six bucks for a 3D presentation - woohoo!

I have heard multiple reports of people trying to redeem The Mummy Fandango movie cash and the I think this Despicable Me 3 or was it possibly for Cars 3 and no one could successfully redeem it for a 3D ticket. Just remembered it was the Spiderman Homecoming movie cash that wouldn't redeem for a 3D ticket either.

I'm personally not a fan, but it's still good to see this hitting blu ray 3D, well into 2017 and long after the announcement about 4K only TVs for 2017.

For anyone not wanting to wait DM3 releases in Australia on 9/20. Not sure on the region coding for those without unlocked players. Can be pre-ordered on Sanity or JB hifi. Probably will be a late October to early November release here in the US.

Good luck finding a copy. I'm sure they will show up on ebay though. I think they only did 500 of these steelbooks and it sold out within minutes after it went live. I got the email for it and checked 5 minutes later and was sold out.

oh wow ok, that suck. 500 is not very much, oh well i'll be on the look out.

I'm going to try and find a nice lenticular slipcover version since I have the first 2 and the Minions movie all with lenticular slips as well.

Well, Despicable Me 3 3D is now "Currently Unavailable" on Amazon (US) and has disappeared from bestbuy.com. I pre-ordered this thru Best Buy in August. Clicking on the listing in my orders it says "This item is no longer available" and shows an "Out of Stock" icon. Thought this might be the 'ol listing-pullback as a release-day announcement was imminent, but all other versions/formats are still available on both sites. So, not happening? Sold out?
