Resident Evil won't play on powerdvd 7.3

After the disk is placed in the drive....once the (auto-played) previews end, it goes to the main menu, but only shows the "play movie", and part of the "language" button on the screen (not showing "special features", "chapters", etc), but when I try to click everywhere on and around the "play movie" button (on the screen), nothing happens. When I try to pause, pull up the pop up menu, choose "play" from the context menu, etc., it shows "prohibited" on the top right of the screen. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a solution?

Don't click... use the arrows and the Enter key.

Surf's Up did that to me...
