I'm over in the U.S., but about to pick up a Region-Free player, mainly to play a bunch of great U.K. Region releases.
Wondering if those with Region 2 (U.K.) already can suggest some classic Blu-ray movie titles that are currently Region 2 (UK). What I'm looking to pick up: 1) Any Alfred Hitchcock that isn't already released in the US (I think that would be most of his 1930's titles and maybe Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Stage Fright). 2) Any Alfred Hitchcock that is already available in the US (Region 1)... but that has better picture quality or significantly better extras. 3) Any Vincent Price, whether released in US already or not. I've heard Arrow has some great titles, where the picture is better than the US and especially that some (like Theatre of Blood) have better extras than the US version. 4) Any classic (1930s-1960s) films not already released in the U.S. (i.e. classics like Roman Holiday). 5) Any Halloween or Friday the 13th that is not already released in the US and has better picture quality or better extras. Thanks (beforehand) for any suggestions. I just haven't paid a lot of attention to Region 2/U.K. releases before now due to not yet having a Region-Free player. Appreciate it! ![]() |
