Even though some games like FF13 and Tekken 6 might not come out this year, its good to know we have a strong lineup against Xbox 360 and even though this is only GamePro's opinion, we have more exclusives that are in the top 15

well.. I definitely dont agree on the order. Even for the 360 exclusive titles.

I personally believe the sequel to arguably the best game last generation (resident evil 4) doesnt belong so high on that list.

Yeah, seems like some titles are not where they should... but then again for the most part they at the very least list the top 50 games and its good to see the PS3 is carrying more then it's weight....

I am surprised no FF7 Crisis Core on PSP and no DS games (not that i care about DS)

But like I said, we have some solid titles coming up this year with a good crop of exclusives.....

Tekken 6 more anticipated than FF13? Thats a load of crap

And yeah RE5 should be WAY higher. Same with Gran Turismo 5. They're in my top 10 for sure.

turok is higher on that list than the new resident evil and silent hill. Im sorry, but my prediction for turok on the metacritic reviews is around 65%. It looks just terrible. I actually really enjoyed the n64 one too.

Just to clarify... 2 of the 3 360 games in the Top 15 are NOT exclusive. Only 1 is truly exclusive, the other 2 are on PC.

So in total:

Games in the Top 50 available on given platform:

- Wii: 5 (4 exclusive)

- 360: 35 (3 x; 4 others on PC also)

- PS3: 36 (8 x)

Regardless of whether you agree exactly with the rankings or my definition of "exclusive" (although I am right), 360 folks can no longer claim that 360 has this edge in titles or good games. They can't say, "but it doesn't have any good games."

The truth is that no one cares about catalog titles or history lessons. New stuff sells and the old stuff doesn't. The edge is gone.

I was refering to being exclusive to consoles.... but you are right....

On the other hand, I would never buy a first person shooter for a console anyway... I only get them on PC.... I need my mouse and keyboard but that is another topic....

And if you look at it that way..... its even better for PS3 owners as they will probably be able to get some of the Xbox "exclusives" on PC.

Exactly my point. Lots of folks play FPS on their PC so that drains 360 sales. And we all know, 360 is enamored w/ FPS games... do they make anything else for that console?

I do not expect to see Spore this year actually. 2009 probably. I would love to get that game but from what I hear, they were really far behind in it when they were demoing it.
But it is good to see so many games coming out to the PS3. I just wish there were even more exclusives. But it does have the most exclusive titles this year from this list.

That list was written by a complete novice. How in the hell does Gran Turismo get ranked that low. Aside from GTA, is it not the best-selling PS game of all time? Star Craft II is gigantic. Kids are born in Korea with a copy of the original.

If someone can inform me about the Buzz on the following games that would be much appreciated (Fall Out is good... but 3!):

- #19 was already released on PS3.
- GT5 is way too low and that is probably due to game's demographics.
- Anything that is out on PC is not an X360 exclusive.

There are way too many games we know little to nothing about that are on this list. Alan Wake and Infamous are two of those. Sure, that makes us more interested to learn more.. but they shouldn't be highly anticipated until we know more.

Does this site not cover the Nintendo DS? Surely Dragon Quest IX deserves a mention.

The only XB360 exclusives I think are worth the list are Ninja Gaiden and Fable.

Good too see two PSP titles but no FF and Patapon.

They should have done a Top 12 Portable games with PSP, DS + Mobile.
