Disney Black Panther 3D Blu-ray (2018) [Region Free]

Black Panther has been released worldwide on REGION FREE 3D Blu-ray - fancy editions, the regular version, the steelbook, all are confirmed as being REGION FREE, wherever you buy them from.

The only place you can't buy the 3D Blu-ray is America, where a decision has been taken by Disney to deny consumers the option to buy films in 3D. If you live in America, you have to import it, e.g. from the UK. Wherever you live, if you want the 4K disc to come with your 3D disc, then you'll have to get it from South Korea or Japan, which won't be cheap.

Original Post:

This is surely going to be 3D? I'm sure StereoD will do a solid conversion, but there's nothing here to suggest to me that it's been designed to take advantage of 3D. Shame.

The part where he flips off the car at the end of the trailer looks like a pop-out to me. I bet the VFX sequences will receive good 3D attention.

I saw the mini trailer in 3D at the theater and the 3D looks good, medium 3D, and I saw the shot where he jumps on the car, that went up to high medium 3D it looked like, though it's a dark movie shot, so that's one challenge of showcasing the 3D.

Definitely looking forward to checking out Black Panther 3D,
February 16, 2018. The role/character of Black Panther from Captain America Civil War, very cool.

Wesley Snipes of Blade was originally vying for this Black Panther role many years ago, but the script never got off the ground.

That would be nice. I hope BB can work that out.

The new trailer looks to show scenes that will look awesome in 3D. Hopefully, I'll see it in 3D in front of Thor.

Impressive 3D layering in that 2nd trailer of Black Panther 3D, cool! Looks like a nice range of medium to strong 3D layers. Looking forward to February and another potentially great 3D conversion for Marvel.

The movie looks like it will be fun, but it also looks like the Marvel formula for making movies. I think it will be a very by the numbers marvel movie. Which isnt a bad thing, but it will be more of the same.

It feels fresh to me. The villain is been there, done that, but I hope Ryan Coogler delivers an excellent script.

The villain, Killmonger (Michael B Jordan of Creed), is a martial artist, as is Black Panther, so here's hoping for some awesome martial arts choreography in the film. The 3D has surpassed my expectations in the 2nd trailer anyway, but I'll wait till the final film.

Here's the final new main trailer of Black Panther released a couple days ago. 2D trailer unfortunately.

My normal AMC theater is only showing IMAX 2D. I bought tix for the theater across the river that is the closest AMC theater showing in IMAX 3D and will have to pay a toll for the bridge.

Bastards.

Yeah, that's not fun having to pay a toll for the bridge. Sorry to hear about that but from the trailer, it looks like the 3D will be worth it in Black Panther 3D.

I'm disappointed Marvel isn't offering the new blu ray 3D of Thor Ragnarok here in the US, but thankfully it's available in the UK, etc. I'm guessing that's the outlook for the time being anyway since Marvel has never failed to release a 3D blu ray of their new 3D films in the US till now.

Eh..I'll live but thank you!

Agreed, re: Disney/Marvel not releasing Thor Ragnorok in 3D in the US. Its really disappointing that we're having to import more and more titles these days.

I was noticing this today also when I was looking at advanced tickets. Sucks for me because there isn't another IMAX around so I won't be able to see it in 3D unless I got to a Cinemark and see it in there XD 3D format which just isn't the same as IMAX. Now my AMC is offering some new showing called Dolby Cinema (i guess as a replacement)?

Same with me. The closest IMAX screen to me is only showing it in 2D so I'm going with the RPX 3D showing instead.
