Hey Oppo 205 users! I got an issue I'm dealing with and I wanted to reach out to other Oppo 205 owners to see if they have come across this.
I am currently working with tech support at Oppo but it would certainly help to find out if other users are experiencing this to see if it is a firmware issue or a player issue. I am playing multichannel DSD files from a hard drive hooked up to the oppo. When the player is first turned on the music plays fine all 6 channels are engaged. When I stop the music or the album finishes and I goto another multitchannel album it will only play 2 of the 6 channels. Not stereo but just missing the other channels. I have discovered if i reboot the unit or go into the HDMI audio output setting and change it to any setting (other than off) it resets without rebooting and the multichannel comes back. But once I stop the album or it finishes were back to only 2 channel audio. This also occurs if i stream it from network not just usb hard drive. Anyone else experiencing this? |
