Default Favorite video game movie?

There have been many bad video game adaptations, but which one did you actually like or enjoy the most?

My pick would have to be the original Mortal Kombat movie (my username kinda gave it away, didn't it? hahaha). I think out of the many movies based on games, that movie was the one that got it right and seemed like the games.

Yes, but I actually stuck to the ones that people generally like or think of the most. Sorry for leaving out many.

The video games are awesome.
Being a huge fan of the games so I'm obviously biased.

Mortal Kombat easily. Followed by the first Resident Evil.

I think Paul WS Anderson is the only director with a "gamer's soul".

Silent Hill, to me, was unexpectedly better than I imagined it would be.

Mortal Kombat felt like the right balance of awesome but cheesy.

Warcraft and Prince of Persia are tied. They weren't bad, but they weren't good.

I guess Prince of Persia worked out okay for an adventure movie.

As much as I like the R.E. films, went with Silent Hill. It got the creepy atmosphere right.

I'd say Silent Hill. I didn't love it but found it okay, which is much more than I can say for most video game adaptations. Even though I haven't played the games, I get the impression that it stayed faithful to the spirit of the source material.

Top 3:

1) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
2) Resident Evil
3) Mortal Kombat

I love the Jolie Tomb Raider films as guilty pleasures, but I genuinely love the above three for the genre of video game turned film.

I think Angry Birds is the best out of the bunch but I voted for Street Fighter II.

My favorite live action would have to be Mortal Kombat. I still remember walking into the theater and hearing that yell "MORTAL KOMBAT!" and the music.

On that list, I've only seen Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and Warcraft. Hated Mortal Kombat, loved Resident Evil, Warcraft was ok but I doubt I'll ever watch it again. But Doom is probably my favorite video game movie. It's awesome, I don't care what anyone says.

I'm split between Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Silent Hill. They're all guilty pleasures.
