Shot at 6K with an Arri Alexa.
Also has a 4K-DI. Roger Deakins' cinematography. I won't be surprised one iota if this ends up being the best looking UHD disc once it's released. |

I may be wrong.
I am going based off of what the IMDb specs are. Deakins may very well have filmed it at 2.7k. Either way, based on how good the transfer is for 'Sicario', which in my honest opinion, is still the best looking UHD disc as far as picture depth goes, I don't think it will matter what resolution it was shot at--as 'Sicario' was filmed at 3.4k. |

What 4K/5K cameras? The 65 is 6.5K and the plain jane Alexas are 3.4K Open Gate.
Have any of you people seen Sicario in 4K though? Shot at 2.8K and it looks sensational, it's like being there in the room with them. BR 2049 is going to look STUNNING in UHD, no ifs, no buts, no regrets about this and that. |

No worries. It's worth mentioning that the in-camera upscale is more for quick 4K delivery into TV workflows, as movies will still use the raw 2.8K/3.4K files as recorded and then debayer & upscale as part of their ingestion into the post-production pipeline.

Please stop using IMDb as a source.
Alexa Studio, Plus and M cameras were used. And in Open Gate 3.4K. Confirmed by the God himself: https://www.rogerdeakins.com/camera/...9-cameras-etc/ |

I don't know why I find this as funny as I do. But no worries.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one on here that is a huge fan of the transfer for 'Sicario.' Quote:
