Arrow OLED Art Gallery to be hosted by Value Electronics

I'm sponsoring a very exciting OLED art gallery in our showroom for 6 weeks from early November through the end of the year. The gallery will showcase the very highly acclaimed fine art photographer, John Singletary. Singletary's work has been exhibited at the James Oliver gallery in Philadelphia and The Philadelphia Museum of Art in addition to dozens of other fine art and photography exhibits.

I had the great pleasure of working with John and his creative and technical staff on the integration of his fine art photography that we displayed on 16 LG OLED TVs. My company also supplied the OLED displays.

I just purchased the following 2017 OLED TVs for our upcoming art gallery exhibition. Six 77" G7s, six 65" C7s and two 77" W7s. The art gallery will also use our 133" theater that is powered by Sony's VLP-VW5000ES.

We're building 4 OLED video walls to show these very large images that will fill our showroom for this special event. The six 77" W7s will all be lined up butt-to-butt to make a 42' x 3.5' UHD/HDR wall with one continues image. Here's the image:

Here's the image we're be displaying on the two 77" W7s that will also be butt-to-butt vertically wall mounted.

I’m very proud and excited to put this on and bring this fine art to our beautiful Village of Scarsdale and help to further the importance of OLED TVs to our community and expect we’ll reach the tri-state region. I’d love for all of my Blu-ray.com friends to visit this exhibition.

Thanks for the kind words! My life passion has been photography and cinematography and when I first saw this fine art photography collection I fell in love with its story telling, creativeness and quality. The photographer uses the full 14 stop dynamic rage so the detail throughout the luminance levels is exploited when displayed on an OLED display.

This work caught the attention of the well respected documentary filmmaker, John Thorton who is filming and producing a documentary on Singletary's work. Here's the Vimeo
link the documentary trailer.

Here's one more piece from his collection that will be displayed in our gallery. It's important to click on the bar at the top of the image to see the detail in this photography. It was filmed with only ultra violet light, so no visible light when the dancers moved to the rehearsed set design.

Good stuff . Although obviously not of the same caliber/style, when time permits, I try to keep up with Chivo’s instagram….
https://www.instagram.com/chivexp/

and Rodrigo’s stills on his account, e.g.….

How do I get this art work to show up as a screen saver on my OLED?

@ Penton-Man, thanks for the links, very nice content.

Not sure I understand the connection to our fine art photography gallery displayed on an OLED illuminated media, vs. the traditional flat canvas that most photography is created and displayed for. Is Chivo’s and Rodrigo’s beautiful photography typically displayed on an OLED display?

We designed the capture to file formatting of this creative collection to match the technical attributes of OLED displays, e.g, 10-bit, 14 stops of dynamic range that favors the luminance range that only OLED can reach so very detailed tonal resolution across the entire luminance ability from pure black, 0 nits to 700 nits.

Click on the yellow bar at the top of the last image I posted to see the detail that we achieved across the entire dynamic range. Hopefully home monitors can see some of the detail the photographer created and preserved.

@ anthonyls, thanks you that is very flattering! However, please consider the following before you make any static image a screensaver.

1st I'd like to warn you about keeping a static image on your OLED display for any extended period of time and having it repeat often.

2nd, not sure if it's ok as the work is copywrited and should not be copied.

3rd, it's not formatted to fill a 16:9 aspect ratio of consumer TVs.

If you want to see the photographer's complete work check out his site.

No, nothing nearly so elegant. The platform is simply social media Instagram but it gives movie fans a personal peek inside as to what’s on the minds of some DPs…..and when. I just thought of sharing it in the sense of supplementing your thread with a little more than a simple thank you.

Just wanted to say, sorry for my reply that questioned anything rather than leaving it or simply thanking you.

I get too buried in the seriousness of this craft than I should sometimes be. I love the art and science of a/v.

Scarsdale NY Village Trustee, Ms.Jane Veron and ML Pearlman, Director at Large to the Scarsdale Arts Council visit Value Electronics to discuss our upcoming OLED art gallery. Pictured with Jane and ML is the creator of the art gallery, John Singletary and yours truly.

You can also see some of the art gallery's collection on our TVs behind us.

Today I signed a lease for a beautiful retail store on the main street in the downtown shopping village of Scarsdale, NY for our dedicated LG OLED Art Gallery event. It's one block from our Value Electronics a/v showroom.

Our OLED art gallery will showcase four pieces on large C7 and W7 OLED video walls from John Singletary's collection.

This thought provoking exhibition will dazzle and inspire all who join us to celebrate with the force that drives us.

Once the MicroLED Tech has pixel gaps to allow 300-400 DPI panels there will be HDR capable digital frames of various sizes and resolutions (8K,16K,32K...) as virtual paintings that can be loaded from large libraries of art work (photographs, scanned classic paintings, computer art etc.). There will be a new industry for hardware and rights/supply of software/content.

Here's a few pic from tonight. We're having a blast with a nice steady flow of fine folks who are enjoying an on average one hour visits per guest.

We had one of the dancers performing in the gallery recreating as they did in the art that surrounded them. This is an actual photograph taken opening night in our gallery.
